Q. How
much will my project cost?
A. This is determined by the
quality of the cabinetry, the products selected, the
amount of labor needed to implement the project and, the
size of the space.
Q. How long
does the design process usually take?
A. This depends on the size
of the room, the visualization of the theme of the space,
the types of products chosen and the amount of revisions
required to satisfy the client's needs. Usually this can
be accomplished in 4-8 weeks. However, it can also take as
little as two weeks, or as long as a year, depending
totally upon the client's interaction and involvement with
the project.
Q. How
long will the actual construction process take?
A. An average kitchen
(typically around 15' x 20') with the project including
the following: demolishing walls; insulating exterior
walls; installing all new plumbing, electrical, sheetrock,
flooring, ambient and task lighting; and replacing windows
and radiators will usually take five to seven working
weeks from demo to completion.
An average bathroom (typically around 6' x 8') with the
project including the following: labor for plumbing
replacement; carpentry; tiling of room including floors
and walls; and setting of fixtures, usually takes from
four to six work weeks.
A media room or closet installation can take from one to
two work weeks to complete.
Q. How
are payments generally made?
A. Initially, a design fee
is required to start the project, which can vary from
$3,000 to $6,000, depending on the size of the project.
This fee is applied to the deposit of the contract for the
project.
Because all materials are custom-designed for each
project, a 50% deposit is required. Subsequent payments
are made as the project progresses so the client is
abreast and in control of payments vs. progress.
