Overview
For this project, Abbey’s was brought in as a
subcontractor to work with an interior decorator for color
choices as well as a designer for the kitchen. The clients
conveyed their desires to the decorator who then conveyed
them to the team. As kitchen consultant, Steven
implemented the design, supplied materials and labor, and,
managed the project. The three of them worked remarkably
well together.
Challenges
Pleasing the decorator in terms of precise colors
proved a significant challenge. She and Steven went to the
paint factory to oversee the mixing of the green paint,
which is prominent throughout the kitchen. The warmth of
the green, complimented by cream color-stained wood, and
cabinetry with a furniture look blends well with stainless
steel appliances.
Notes
This kitchen accommodates an active family of four easily.
They have a medium-level of cooking
activity/entertaining/high ceilings vaulted/lots of
daylight.
