Hi-Tech Contemporary

Overview
The original kitchen of this room had little counter or storage space. The couple complained that there was always clutter for everyone to see. Since this kitchen was part of a total extension to the rear of the house, it was decided to have a new contemporary look as this was always the style they wanted to have.

Challenges
It was important to tie together separate eating , bar and entertainment areas. Since the room was divided into these distinct areas, a typical L shape kitchen would never work.

Notes
The use angled cabinets, and leaving large open spaces on the walls added to the contemporary look. The use of flat red birch bookmarked veneers with a polyester high gloss finish definitely made the cabinets stand out . Finally the use of sleek stainless steel appliances added the final touch to satisfy the wants and needs of the clients.
