Overview
This kitchen was located in a multi story townhouse. The clients wanted to have as much storage as well as countertop space that they could even though the square footage of the room was small. The couple wanted a white kitchen, but also loved the color blue.

Challenges
To make a small space work like a large kitchen, a cabinet layout had to be designed to not only make the kitchen workable, but at the same time allow enough space for people to enter and walk around and through the room.

Notes
By designing a horizontal peninsula in the room both a storage and sit down eating area were established. Rather than make the cabinets pure white, a glazed blend of blue stain was used to highlight the raised surfaces of the off white door and drawer panels. Full height 42" wall cabinets gave extra storage space to the room. Finally the use of blue Silestone countertops, blue and silver specked glass back splash tiles and a checker board blue and silver Amtico vinyl tile floor took a small space and made it into a spectacular area that met the esthetic and functional desires the clients asked for.
